Head south from
Totnes on the A381 Kingsbridge Road. After about 2 miles turn right at signpost
"Harberton 3/4 mile". On entering the village, pass over the stream
and then take the first right marked "Parish Hall". Travel 250 yards
straight up the hill, ignoring a right turn to the pub, and Merlewood Cottage is
on the left, well above road level, with stone pillars either side of the steps
up to the front door. The red arrow on the map marks the house.
