Harberton is ideally situated at the centre of South Devon - with Dartmoor to the north, the coastal walks and beaches of the South Hams, and the historical city of Plymouth all within easy reach.

A vast selection of country inns and places of interest is available, including some excellent golf courses.

The established National Trust properties in the area are joined in 2002 by "Greenway", the former home of Agatha Christie, overlooking the beautiful River Dart. A word of caution - private vehicle access to "Greenway" is strictly controlled. English Heritage is well-represented too with its castles at Totnes, Berry Pomeroy and Dartmouth.

A boat trip along the tidal Dart is surely one of the most memorable holiday experiences in England. And two fine preserved steam railways offer an excellent way to view the local scenery.
